Our history

Cave Studios produced their first corporate video back in 1997 for the Victorian Government  Department of Infrastructure. It was an expression of interest video to redevelop the Sandridge Rail Bridge in Melbourne.

But back then we not only produced Corporate videos, we also produced television commercials and music videos for some of Australia's biggest acts such as Tina Arena, Sister to Sister, Deborah Conway, Invertigo, Jimmy LIttle and more. Here is a small clip of some of the music videos we made.

In 1999 Cave Studios was nominated for a Cannes Lion Award for best 30 second television commercial with the production of the Mojo Partners V-Line Two for One Offer. This cute little spot was produced on a tiny budget and proves you don't have to have lots of money to make it to Cannes. The commercial is made famous by the fact that it features the (then soon to be) Crown Princess of Denmark Mary Donaldson (left), as one of the trains passengers.

In 2004 Cave Studios entered a partnership with Global Dilemma to create a program specifically tailored for the rapidly changing media landscape. Forget The Rules was the world's first cross platform drama series produced for 2 seasons from 2005 to 2007. The bite size 'mobisodes' offered viewers the unique ability to control the direction of the story by allowing them to vote at the end of each week. Forget The Rules earned two 2006 MIPCOM awards (Cannes) for best original content and best interactive format. Episode 27 features the show's lead character Pony getting more than he bargained for when he combines business with sex.
